So there are days that start at 5:45 and you think there is no way I can go to work, coach, fulfill family obligations and have a late night meeting and get it all done.
But then it comes to you, the thought that puts you over the edge... where do I fit in my workout? I can't get up any earlier...I can't workout in the middle of my workday.... with so many after work obligations... where do I fit it in? Planning! Most of the time we know what our week is like well before it happens. So if you know you are going to have a suck ass Monday, then make that your rest day. If you are constantly living day by day, you are going to fall into the pattern of...I'll do it tomorrow, I'll workout Wednesday...oh fuck this shit....I'll work out next week. Embrace the suck and get it in and get it done. Start small, 10 minutes...then the next suck ass day try for 15 minutes. and so on, you get the picture. Surprisingly, the day doesn't suck so bad. You made 30 minutes for yourself, you got a little sweat on, and burned some much needed calories.
Today was that kind of day for me I was crazy busy, but damn I got this shit. How does it get done? I embraced the suck. I got up and got it done.
