![]() I sat down today to write a blog about yoga and then I stumbled upon this quote, and although I have already blogged regarding plateau’s and keeping your chin up, this spoke to me in a different way. In our busy daily lives, we begin to imitate the life of a hamster running on his wheel. Jumping on and off for food and water but ultimately just running in a circle, using a shit ton of energy but not going fucking anywhere. The scary part is, many of us stay on the hamster wheel because we are either not ready for change, like the running in circles, or simply know no other way. No need for planning or forethought, you run all night long and sleep all day. Same thing day in and day out, never changing, never moving forward. Yet that same person has a tendency to sit and wallow in a pool of self-pity that nothing in life is moving forward and that feel they are just running in circles all day long! WHAT?! You can’t choose not to change and then complain about it! There are so many options to help you move forward, you just have to choose one, just 1. Failure is a terrible feeling and when you are always trying several things at once, failure is inevitable. Start small, break down the task into parts with goal dates. Small progress is still progress. See the success, feel the success, keep moving forward. Answer the following questions, I suggest you answer these questions in a journal or with a person you feel comfortable with a person you are truly not afraid to share your feelings.
