I honestly wasn't sure what I wanted to write about then I saw this video today posted on my PN facebook resource page and thought, "Yup here is today's topic". We as doctors, nutritionist, coaches all fall into a dangerous pattern of "Don't eat this because it could cause x, y, z. Then the next day, "Oh wait no, no it's fine, my bad." How are people suppose to know what to eat if we are constantly changing our minds. Eggs are bad, no they're good, eat fat-free, no wait fat is good, drink diet soda, no wait that is going to kill you. How are people suppose to know how to make informed decisions if the information is always changing. Who can we trust? Most of us have the intent of eating well, but we can't all take college level classes to gain all the new and upcoming information. So when doing your own research make sure the article is peer-reviewed, meaning that a panel of highly educated peers have reviewed the study or research verifying the information is true and sound. Next, stay away from the quick articles you find on social media or 5 minute news reports on TV. Usually, these are just headliners to draw you in but omits any real information. Keep eating well simple. Eat whole foods, in the right portions, balancing protein, fats and carbohydrate ratios. Don't over think it, chances are you are doing the right thing. You do not need some science guy to tell you grilled chicken is better than fried. Use your common sense and eat well. I have attached the video below. Just cut and paste into your browser. I hope you enjoy! http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/74dd9afee2/time-travel-dietician-this-is-why-eating-healthy-is-hard
